The new Boltenhagen Marina is located by Lübeck Bay in the western part of the federal state of Mecklenburg Vorpommern.

The approach is from the sea via the buoyed channel in Wismar Bay (from the west: approach “Offentief” buoy, taking the Wismar Bay FFH (Flora-Fauna-Habitat) sanctuary into consideration). Leave the channel at buoy 19 at a course of approximately 260°. Because of the overlapping moles, the buoy lights at first seem switched at night; entry to the harbour is from the west!

In relaxing day trips, you can reach the Travemüde, Grömitz and Neustadt yacht harbours in the west, as well as Wismar, Kühlungsborn and Rostock in the east. The central location between Lübeck Bay and Mecklenburg Bay is an ideal vantage point for exploring the Baltic Sea.

The site is uniquely aligned to the south – a rare location on Germany’s Baltic Sea coastline – and has its own beach area. The centre of Boltenhagen, with its promenades, shops and the pier is easy to reach by foot, on bike or with the shuttle service (3 km).
